Aion Cleric Guide by Hoschi
Hey,guys! I just found another good guide made by Hoschi! Help this cleric guide could help you!
Well, amongst other things, i’ve been pondering the Stigma’s i’ve been using for quite some time now. I utterly focused on healing alone, which made be put out too little DPS when i needed it. Additionally, i had some AP’s to get rid of. I could’ve waited to get my 50 Jewelery, since i’m going for Miragent’s, but i thought it might be good to make sure i’ve got all the Stigma’s i need.
Grace of Empyrean Lord while this Stigma doesn’t seem too hot, you should really keep it – at least in your warehouse. It’s a requirement for another advanced stigma tree, and it can be quite costly to buy it later on. Keep that. You get it from the level 20 Stigma Quest…
Sage’s Wisdom – this is the more expensive Stigma that players tend to give away. Once again, keep it, as it also is a requirement. The Stigma is a drop, so keep a keen eye open for it, as you’ll need it (Sulfur Instance, and in Heiron Lumbering Tree Agrint)
That being said, let’s have a look at some of the Stigma Setup and chains…
Blinding Flash + Festering Wound are two skills i have had on my bar for a long time now. Even in non-PvP situations, the Blinding Flash can be extremely usefull. Blind the mob that’s not CC’d or beating on you, and get yourself a breather. Works quite well, even with a 5min cooldown. In PvP, as usual, you have to time it right after the enemy player used his Greater Healing Potion, like throwing a minor DoT and root him. As soon as you see the potion being used, you can blind to get it’s full duration and DPS him. Festering Wound also has it’s PvE usages, like the Anuhart General in DP, or the Boss in Theo Labs. They have a healing spell (DP is Absorb Energy), and throwing a Festering Wound reduces the amount of healing. Combined with either Flesh Cutter or Word of Destruction you can reduce the healing to 0 !
So i kept these two skills on my bar for a long time now, but decided to change that setup a bit. Have a look at the DPS you get out of the Noble Energy tree, especially for PvP.
Chain of Suffering + Earth’s Wrath + Chastitisement + Noble Energy + Holy Servant
These DoT’s provide a massive pressure on any enemy, given you get him to use a CC potion. You can then concentrate on staying alive and see them die to the DoTs. In addition, the Slashing Wind combo can crit for a Stun, which would allow you to cast the Smite Chain and finish them off.
* Chain of Suffering I – 573 damage per tick
* Earth’s Wrath IV – 293 damage per tick
* Chastitisement I – 149 damage per tick
* Noble Energy I – 149 damage per tick
* Holy Servant III – 400 damage per tick
The actual values more be a bit off, depending on your Magic Boost and some DoT’s tick a bit lower than the initial damage, but it gives you a good indication of what you can actually achieve. We’re talking about 2500 HP damage per tick (at about 3-4s), not including your Smite and Slashing Wind combo, which can easily add another 3-6k HP damage. That should be enough to kill an enemy – given you actually get all those spells off.
Here’s where both, Sage’s Wisdom and Grace of Empyrean Lord come in to help you. You have a decreased casting time and it won’t cost you any Mana.
Throw in a Blessed Shield + Light of Rejuvenation beforehand…. and if Blessed Shield is still up a Yustiel’s Light afterwards, you’re quite able to deal with a fair amount of damage on you while your heal over time tick. ANd if you manage to kill them while Chain of Suffernig is still up, you actually make them go back to their Kisk / Obelisk. Really nice, as you remove them from the group for some time.
I’d love to squeeze a Splendor of Rebirth in, that HoT and added physidcal defense is really nice, especially when combined with Blessed Shield, but i’d have to give up a Splendor of Recovery II, and that’s at times nice, too. Not so much in PvP situations, but in PvE you actually need it more than Splendor of Rebirth.
So. think about it. Especially if you intend to go out and gank some players.
